On the episode of “America’s Got Talent: All-Stars,” Flau’jae does an incredible rap that has Simon Cowell in tears. While Flau’jae strides boldly onto the stage, Simon gives her a kind grin.

Flau’jae claims to be 18 years old and is originally from Savannah in the state of Georgia. Simon inquires, “Is your mom here with you today?” They show everyone her mother, and as she waves, Howie jumps to his feet and claps enthusiastically.

It goes all the way back to her very first audition, which was in 2018. According to Flau’jae, both she and her father had careers as rap artists. While her mother was carrying her, her mother’s husband was shot and murdered.

According to Flau’jae, “He was unable to live his dream, so that is why I am here to do it for him.” At her very first audition, she performed a rap that was completely original to her. She begins to rap on how difficult it was for her when her father passed away as the audience holds up red light sticks and red lasers stream from the stage. Howie continued to nod his head the whole time.

She does many laps around the arena as the audience waves their hands in unison. The wave of hands that Flau’jae was surrounded by demonstrates how much the audience cares for her and what she went through.

Even though the tempo is rather laid back, it pairs really nicely with her more emotional lyrics. Screens towards the rear of the room have a bluish hue with her face superimposed on them. After seeing a performance that was so exciting, Simon is unable to contain his emotions.

Simon reveals to Flau’jae that he enjoyed it very much and continues, “That made me feel very emotional.” Flau’jae expresses her gratitude to everyone, and the audience applauds as she leaves, happy and confident that she has successfully continued her father’s work.
