Keanu Reeves, an actor who is 58 years old, has a reputation for being one of the nicest people in Hollywood. In recent years, in addition to being a movie star, he has also gained a reputation as “the internet’s boyfriend” owing to the amount of affection that he receives from online users. Fans have a lot of reasons to admire Keanu Reeves, from the fact that he is a real action star whose career includes significant franchises like “The Matrix” and “John Wick” to the fact that he has become the hero of a lot of popular memes. Fans love Reeves for a lot of different reasons. Simply put, Reeves is one of the most well-liked actors in Hollywood, and he is also considered an online star.

There are lots of other instances out there that highlight exactly why Reeves is thought to be such a stand-up man, such as the time he gave up his seat on the metro for a stranger or the moving moments he’s had with homeless people, listening to their experiences. One such example is the fact that he gave up his seat on the subway for a stranger.

However, despite Reeves’ reputation for being one of the most well-liked, approachable, and straightforward performers in Hollywood, he also has a troubled history that is fraught with a great deal of grief. This included the passing of a daughter who was stillborn, which occurred during the time that he was seeing his then-girlfriend Jennifer Syme before she suddenly went away in a vehicle accident. All of this transpired within the span of around two years.

It seemed as if the actor was single and available for love once he had some time to focus on himself. Then, in November of 2019, he made his connection with the American visual artist Alexandra Grant known to the general world for the first time. The lady who won Reeves’ heart became an object of fascination for people all across the globe overnight. However, in spite of the happiness that the couple is experiencing, the artist has been subjected to an unreasonable amount of criticism.

Since then, Grant, who is now 50 years old, has discussed why she does not colour her gray hair and instead allows it to become silver naturally. She discussed her history with hair colors and how she eventually gave up using them completely in her conversation with the audience.

The moment when Alexandra Grant and Keanu Reeves appeared on the red carpet together at the LACMA Art+Film Gala in Los Angeles was the moment that brought her into the public eye. The New York Times cites Grant as a text-based artist who works out of Los Angeles and makes artworks for exhibition. In 2009, she and Reeves first connected at a dinner gathering. They first became acquaintances and then business colleagues before moving on to a love relationship.

After that, they worked together on a book that was published in 2011, titled “Ode to Happiness.” After that, they worked together on an intimate collection of poems titled “Shadows,” which was published in 2016, and included photographs of Keanu’s silhouette. They also established a publishing firm together under the name X Artists’ Books. This publishing house is defined on the company website as “a small publisher of thoughtful, high-quality, artist-centered books that fit within and between genres.”

Since Reeves and Grant made their relationship public, several articles have been published about how happy the actor is in his relationship with Grant. According to what one unnamed insider shared with Life & Style:

“(Reeves) was in such a depressing position for such a long time, but Alexandra’s optimistic approach and support have played a significant role in helping him turn his life around. There are many who believe that she has not only won his affection but also rescued him.

But at the same time that there was a surge in people’s interest in Grant, who is a philanthropist and an artist located in Los Angeles, there were also some things said about her that were not very nice. An inappropriate critique was leveled at the pair, and it was presented as a backhanded praise in the guise of the observation that Reeves was dating someone of a suitable age. In spite of the fact that she is over ten years younger than the movie star, it sparked a debate about how typical it is for guys in Hollywood to date considerably younger women.

In today’s culture, it is socially acceptable for older men to date younger women; however, this is not the case when it is the younger woman who is dating the older man. This sheds light on the pervasive sexism that exists in our culture today. The comedienne Whitney Cummings made a statement on the unjust favoritism against Grant in a writing that she did:

“In hollywood, if you’re not 24, you might as well be 70.”

In spite of being treated to undeserved criticism, she is taking it in stride and is even utilizing her position to help change outmoded views. This is all due to the fact that Grant’s connection with Reeves has brought up a lot of the unfair attitude against women in the public light. When asked to describe her idea of beauty, Grant responded as follows:

“As I was pondering the question, ‘What exactly is beauty to me?’… In the end, I believe it all comes down to love. And it means loving oneself in a genuine way. It is showing love and compassion to the members in your community. And it’s figuring out how to love people who are in fundamental ways quite different from yourself.

According to the journal Stylist, users on the internet started harassing Grant with vicious remarks about her aging appearance and gray hair. Someone made a remark to her about her age and questioned whether or not she would still be able to have children at her current age. It was written that

“I really hope that he gets together with someone younger so that he can start a family.”

Many others saw parallels between Grant and Reeves’ mother, who is also known to have white hair. Because it is not customary for women in the public eye to display their natural gray hair, Grant’s courageous choice to do so meant that she was exposed to a wide variety of ageist remarks. These comments included questions about whether or not she was trying to hide her age. Despite this, it does not upset her in any way. She said in Vogue that:

“I’m a lady who is 6 feet and 1 inch tall with white hair… You are probably familiar with the concept of fitting in… If I wanted to appear like Kim Kardashian, I would need to get surgery that would remove around one foot from each of my legs.

The musician has discussed the importance of being authentic to oneself and the decisions that led her to stop coloring her hair, despite the fact that she has received criticism for loving the color of her natural hair.

On his Instagram account, Grant posted a picture that was accompanied by a news article with the following headline: “Breast Cancer Linked to Permanent Hair Dye and Chemical Hair Straighteners in Study of Almost 50,000 Women.” Next to the picture, Grant wrote the following: “Wow. The news of the day… The results are quite shocking, particularly for women of color.

Women who often use hair dyes that are permanent may be raising their chances of developing breast cancer by as much as sixty percent, according to the findings of a study that was published in the International Journal of Cancer. The research included more than 45,000 female participants and discovered a correlation between using permanent hair color and an increased risk of breast cancer. According to Newsweek’s reporting, the survey found that the greatest number of victims were women of African descent in particular.

Grant continued talking about how when she was quite young, her hair had already started to turn gray. “When I was in my early 20s, I saw that my hair was graying faster than it should have, so I began dying it different colors until I reached a point where I could no longer endure the toxicity of the dyes. “When I was in my 30s, I decided to let my hair go ‘blonde,'” she added.

Grant concluded her article about hair color by saying, “I love and support that every woman can choose how she wants to look at every age.” She was speaking about the ability to use hair dye. However, if women are losing their lives because of beauty standards, then let’s have a conversation about those beauty standards. Love to all you wonderful women!

It is encouraging to see Grant take such a bold and significant stand, despite the fact that individuals are free to choose how they like to present themselves physically.
