I am a surgical nurse, and I have the fantastic chance to share my passion and abilities with others in an exceptional manner; thus, I am trying to raise money so that I may participate in this opportunity.

Lacy, who is my sister-in-law, and my mother-in-law were the ones who first told me about Operation of Hope. Since then, both Lacy and I have decided to become volunteers for their organization. Children in Zimbabwe who need life-changing surgery and medical care to fix cleft lips, cleft palates, or both will benefit from the free nursing services that we will provide as part of a nursing volunteer program.

On their website, Operation of Hope argues that these operations are not only significant from a medical standpoint but also from a cultural one, saying, “A normal mother and father enter through our hospital entrance cradling their kid. This family’s only possessions are the clothing they wear. They have nothing else. Their kid has facial deformities. Others in their community have been led to believe that the mother is to blame for a transgression that occurred in the past. These parents are sometimes given the impression that terminating the life of their child is a viable choice.

Our journey to Zimbabwe is scheduled for May, and I can’t think of a more enjoyable way to volunteer than to engage in an activity that I already like. The funds that are generated here will not only help me pay for my travel costs, but they will also enable me to assist Operation of Hope Worldwide in the great work that they are doing to save lives.

Any amount given would be much appreciated and would help make a difference in the lives of these kids and their families. I am overjoyed and appreciative to have this chance, and I am hoping that I can count on your assistance to make it come to fruition.

Additional details regarding Operation of Hope Worldwide are as follows: Operation of Hope is a surgical team made up entirely of volunteers that were established in 1989 with the aim of restoring the smiles of children who were born with facial defects such as cleft lip and palate. Children all across the globe get the assistance that helps them achieve higher levels of self-confidence and social achievement from a team of Board-certified reconstructive surgeons and other volunteers.

A charity run entirely by volunteers, with no paid staff and no rent for office space; the volunteers provide their spare time and/or time off in order to help others.
