A guy who had half of his face torn off when a tiger snuck into his room while he was sleeping and attacked him is finally going to get surgery to repair the damage.
After suffering a horrendous assault at the hands of a tiger that left him with just half of his face, the inhabitants of Hashmot Ali’s hometown ostracized him and he was forced to live as if he were a hermit for the next 20 years.

When the guy, then 40 years old and working as a fisherman in the jungles of Bangladesh to gather honey, went to sleep for the night on the boat, he was collecting honey at the time.
When he was asleep, a gigantic tiger came swimming up to the boat and struck out at him with its enormous paw, tearing off a large portion of the then-young man’s face.

The tiger attempted to drag him over the edge of the boat, but his friends began banging the side of the boat with the paddle, which scared the animal away.
Hashmot’s terrified coworkers hurried him to the hospital, and while the doctors and nurses were able to save his life, the young man, who was a teenager at the time, was left confused.
However, now that he has been hospitalized for surgery at Dhaka Medical Hospital in Bangladesh, his aspirations of returning to a regular life may soon be realized. This week, he was finally admitted for surgery.

He has high expectations that medical professionals will be able to reconstruct a significant portion of his face, which would facilitate his reintegration into society.
Hasmot has three children, and he is worried that they may never find love because of the stigma that his injuries carry in the community. He believes that the operation would provide solace for his kids.
After petting the animal on the bottom and posing for selfies with it while at a zoo in Thailand, a tourist from the United Kingdom narrowly avoided being attacked by a lion.

Hashmot managed to get married and has three children in spite of the horrible injuries.
