They’ve been married for well over a quarter of a century at this point. During the time of their 32nd wedding anniversary celebration in September 2020, Bacon shared a flashback picture from their wedding day on his various social media platforms. He expressed his thanks to Sedgwick, his very special girl, by posting a message on his Instagram page. The famous actor sent a heartfelt letter for his wife in which he expressed his gratitude for their many years of marriage. “11,680 days with you,” was the caption that Bacon added to his post. “Thank you for ensuring that each one counts.”

In an interview with Glamour magazine, the two smitten individuals discussed their long-lasting relationship and shared how they encourage one another in their professional endeavors.
Bacon did acknowledge at the time, “Kyra had a deep and abiding conviction that once she began having children, she owed it to them to be there in their lives. She would often make judgments about her profession that were not in the best interest of her career because of the children. We did not move away from New York because we intended to bring up our children there; rather, there was more business to be had in Los Angeles.”
While Sedgwick was the one who first took charge, her husband came through for her when she landed a starring role on the critically acclaimed television drama “The Closer.”
To which Bacon said, “I don’t even look at this as a sacrifice when ‘The Closer’ comes along.” “But at that time, the kids were still in high school or junior high, and she had the chance to move to California and star in a television program there. I spoke up and said, “Listen, I’ll remain with the kids.” In this particular instance, it was the very first time in both of our lives that I said, “I’ll remain home, and I won’t take anything with me.””

I’m done.”
Together, Sedgwick and Bacon have conquered every challenge that they have faced as a pair from the beginning of their relationship. As an example, Bacon cites the case of Madoff, which was so-called after the con artist who defrauded the victims of their money. “That was an awful day. But quite soon, we were able to recognize all the things we had as opposed to whatever we lost, and those are the things that are most often referred to as cliches: children, good health, love, and a wonderful house. To be a successful actor, you need to be able to confidently assert, “I’m going to do this, whatever you say.” She had two very famous actresses for parents, and they told her no, but she said, “I’m doing it anyway,” and that’s what you need to do to make it in this business.”
