Goodman continued to prioritize his health after he stopped drinking and started working out regularly, which led to his losing weight. Goodman said during an interview in 2018 on “Live with Kelly and Ryan” that he wasn’t a romantic person, but the tale of how he proposed to his girlfriend suggests otherwise. He proceeded by saying, “We knew it was coming for a while, but yes we actually went to the jewelry shop to grab the ring before we walked down to the river.” The location of the proposal was described as being “on the banks of the Mississippi River.”
