Brittany Mahomes and Patrick Mahomes are celebrating one year of marriage with a toast.
The Kansas City Current co-owner, who is 27 years old, celebrated the happy occasion by publishing an Instagram post on Sunday in which she commemorated the occasion by sharing a carousel of photographs from the couple’s wedding in Maui.
She wished him a “Happy First Anniversary” in her note. “Getting married to my closest friend was one of the finest weeks of my life,” she said. “Getting married to your best friend is one of the best things you could do!”
She said, “There is nothing better than getting through life side by side with you and these beautiful children we share. The first year was an adventure, but there are many more to come. You & Me forever.”
Brittany wore a specially made cutout corset-style Versace dress with crystal describing in detail on their wedding day, and their then-12-month-old girl Sterling Skye bolstered her mom in a white gown with a bow at the back. Since their wedding day, the high school sweethearts have packed more than a year’s worth of memories into their lives.
Eight months later, in November, the couple revealed the name of their son, Bronze Lavon Mahomes III, in a shared Instagram post. The announcement came eight months after the birth of their son.
The Kansas City Chiefs player and his wife did write in the caption, “Patrick ‘Bronze’ Lavon Mahomes III 11/28/22 7lbs 8oz ” beside a shot of the infant’s legs wearing a brown and white onesie.
Yet only one month ago, the quarterback, who is now 27 years old, celebrated his victory in Super Bowl 2023 after leading his team to victory against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Soon after Patrick’s team won their first Super Bowl in 2020, the pair announced their engagement to one another. In front of a flowering wall with a neon sign that said “Would You Marry Me?” he asked Brittany to marry him when they were there. The quarterback, who had just been presented with his Super Bowl ring, affixed the word “Ring SZN” on a photograph that captured the scene.
