A passing driver saw a dog on the shoulder of the road that was unable to stand on its own and had an immediate need for help. The dog’s owner surrendered the pet to the animal shelter. The young puppy, who had only been living for a year at the time, was in very poor shape.

The medical staff wasn’t sure if he would make it through the night, but thanks to Dr. Lily and the rest of the staff, he not only survived, but he was also able to find a place to live permanently. The medical team was concerned about his prognosis. He was given attention around the clock, including therapeutic baths and frequent, small meals, all of which contributed to his eventual complete recovery.

During the course of the last two weeks, he has gained weight, seen his hair begin to come back, and won the love of his veterinarian. Because of how close they were, the doctor ultimately chose to adopt him as his own child. The shelter broke the wonderful news that the day was dedicated to adopting children.

Everyone who had been following the dog’s story was able to see the joyful ending thanks to the television station that broadcast the touching event. The puppy and her mother wore clothing that matched one another, which made them appear quite cute together.
