Tom Sizemore, an actor who was most known for his appearances in the military action films Saving Private Ryan and Black Hawk Down, has passed away after being hospitalized due to a brain aneurysm. His loss was announced on Monday. He was 61.

Two weeks after the actor fainted after suffering a stroke that led to an aneurysm, Tom’s manager Charles Lago confirmed his loss on Friday. This comes two weeks after the actor died due to the aneurysm that was caused by the stroke. Since the 18th of February, he has been in a severe state and has been in a coma the whole time. He has not regained consciousness.

His representative issued a statement in which he stated, “It is with great grief and sorrow that I have to report that actor Thomas Edward Sizemore (“Tom Sizemore”) aged 61 died away peacefully in his sleep tonight at St. Joseph’s Hospital Burbank.”

His twin sons Jayden and Jagger, who are 17, and his brother Paul Sizemore, were there to comfort him.

Paul released a statement in which he expressed his “profound sorrow” on the passing of his older brother Tom.

“He towered above everything else. He is the person who has had the most impact on my life of anybody I know. He had many skills, was caring and generous, and could keep you engaged for hours with his humor and ability to tell stories. I am inconsolable that he is no longer here and I shall miss him for the rest of my life.”

According to the representative for the actor, the twins’ loss of their father has “devastated” them. Lago stated that there will be a private cremation service for the family, followed a few weeks later by a bigger ceremony celebrating the life of the deceased.

Largo continued by saying that in Tom’s case, “a previous couple of years were terrific for him, and he was putting his life back to a great position.”

In a statement released earlier this week, Lago stated that the actor’s loved ones were “deciding end-of-life affairs” for him. Saving Private Ryan was one of the films that he starred in. This past Monday, “His family has been told by the medical staff that there is no longer any chance of recovery, and they have been advised to make an end-of-life choice. The family is now making decisions on end-of-life care, and another statement is scheduled to be released on Wednesday “At that time, Lago was added.

According to a post that was made on Instagram on February 2, Tom had plans to teach a weekly acting class at Harvelle’s Nightclub in Los Angeles before he passed away.

Throughout his career, Tom featured in a number of critically acclaimed films, such as Natural Born Killers (1994), Heat (1995), and Saving Private Ryan (1998), in which he portrayed a World War II–era United States Army sergeant during the invasion of Normandy, Black Hawk Down (2001), and Pearl Harbor (2001). The actor also did some work for television, appearing as a guest in the 2023 episode of Cobra Kai and in the 2017 reboot of the show Twin Peaks.

Tom, who was born in Detroit, also gave voice acting a shot as the guy who provided the voice for Sonny Forelli in the Grand Theft Auto: Vice City computer game that was released in 2002. Mobster Tommy Vercetti, whose voice was provided by Ray Liotta, reported to his character, who was played by him.

According to IMDb, the actor had a career that spanned more than 30 years and had a total of 230 parts to his credit. In addition, he was working on 30 different projects at the time of his passing. Tom was ultimately acquitted of all charges.

The actress then allegedly filed a lawsuit against the actor in 2018, seeking $3 million in damages, claiming that Tom was responsible for her irreversible injuries, which included post-traumatic stress disorder and an addiction to drugs and alcohol. The actor has refuted the claims, and in 2020, a judge in Utah rejected the civil complaint in an order that did not specify his reasons for the decision. According to statements made by the woman’s attorney to USA Today, the case was dropped due to an earlier decision made by the Utah Supreme Court that maintained the state’s statute of limitations for sex offenses.

Tom had written to the news organization at the time, “I hope this really troubling affair is finally ended for all those involved.”

Tom had already entered a plea of no guilty to two lesser counts of misdemeanor domestic violence for the attack that he committed on his girlfriend in July of 2016. In 2003, he was found guilty of physically assaulting his then-girlfriend Heidi Fleiss, and he was given a sentence of six months in prison for the crime. Nevertheless, he broke his probation by contacting his ex-girlfriend and passing drug tests.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor battled addiction throughout his whole life and was arrested for possession of drugs as recently as 2019.
