After rescuing a cat from inside a cooler that was covered in a plastic bag and left outside of an Arizona animal rescue center, a dog earned the title of hero of the day.

It was a lovely Saturday when it occurred, and a woman was out walking her Siberian Husky, Koda, down the Boulevard of the Fountains when the incident occurred. The woman was then led by the puppy outside of Fearless Cat Rescue to a red cooler that was sealed up and placed inside of a polythene bag. The owner made the decision to investigate the contents of the bag after seeing that her dog would not stop smelling the bag.

The discovery of a live black cat inside the bag came as a shock to everyone who was present. According to Teryn Jones, a spokesman for Fearless Cat Rescue, the polythene bag was not chilly since it was left outdoors in the hot Arizona sun, when the temperature was 107 degrees. These high temperatures have persisted since the month of June.

Later on, Fearless Cat Rescue took the cat in as their own and gave her the name Juliane. Teryn Jones said in an interview that the name originates from Danish culture and has the meaning “fearless.” Fearless Kitten Rescue feels that the name accurately describes the kitty.

To this day, no one can explain how the unfortunate creature ended up suffocating inside of the cooler and the plastic bag. Also, no one is aware of how much time passed until the arrival of the furry hero who rescued it from the sack. After it was rescued, the cat has, thankfully, made a full recovery and is doing just well. On the other hand, it’s possible that some of her tail will need to be cut.

The Fearless Cat Rescue team has already dealt with their third incidence of this kind thus far in 2018. Teryn Jones had some strong words for the people who put Juliane and other innocent creatures in risk. The following is what Teryn had to say.

This treatment of animals is completely unacceptable. You have no right to act in such a manner against anybody. Let’s not sugarcoat this. Since they lack the ability to speak, animals are unable to convey to one another what is taking place.

The Sheriff’s Office of Maricopa County is presently conducting an investigation into the incident.

This brave dog saved the life of a vulnerable cat, making him a genuine hero. The tiny kitten must have been terrified, but happily, this incredible dog was around to lend a helping paw!
