Gerard Piqué and his girlfriend Clara Chia Marti have made their relationship public on Instagram, putting a stop to all of the speculations, press pictures, and harsh song lyrics that have been circulating about them.
Yesterday, the Spanish professional soccer player and Shakira’s ex-longtime lover uploaded his first Instagram picture with his new love, who is a public relations student from Barcelona who is 23 years old.
The candid selfie he posted did not include a caption from him.
Shakira, with whom he was linked for nearly 12 years and shares two sons, released a new track exposing how he allegedly betrayed her when she most needed him and left her for a younger, less intimidating woman.
“I’m too excellent for you, and the reason why you’re with someone exactly like you is because I’m better than you,” In the song “BZRP Music Session #53,” in which Shakira and Bizarrap collaborated, Shakira sings in Spanish. She also makes a not-so-subtle reference to the name of her former boyfriend in the song, as well as the name of the woman he is dating.
In a statement released together in June of 2018, Shakira, 45, and Piqué, 35, confirmed their decision to end their relationship. The couple’s previous statement, made at the time, said, “We regret to confirm that we are splitting.” “We ask that you respect our need for privacy at this time for the sake of the safety of our children, who are our first concern. Please accept my thanks in advance for your consideration and respect.”
Shakira was candid about her breakup, referring to it as “the worst hour of my life,” in an interview shortly after it occurred, and she also gave an impassioned message about healing over the Christmas season. She also released a heartbreaking record titled “Monotona” about the split prior to unleashing her inspirational Bizarrap track. The song was about a breakup.
