On Sunday morning, a memorial service for the late singer Lisa Marie was held at Elvis Presley’s house, Graceland, in Memphis, Tennessee. Attendees included admirers of the artist as well as loved ones.

In the moments leading up to the program honoring Lisa Marie’s life, members of her family and friends were spotted consoling one another at the memorial ceremony. Among those paying tribute to Lisa Marie will be her mother Priscilla Presley, daughter Riley Keough, Axl Rose, and others.

Austin Butler, who played Elvis, and Kaia Gerber, an actress, entered together and took seats in the second row. Baz Luhrman, who directed the film, and his wife took seats in the row behind them.

After some time had passed, Priscilla, Riley, their half-brother Navarone Garcia, their former husband Michael Lockwood, their daughter Finley, who was 14 years old, and the girlfriend of their late son Benjamin, Diana Jay, all came together.

Just a few minutes before the beginning of the ceremony, Butler gave Finley a bear hug.

During the course of his introductory comments, Joel Weinshanker shared with the audience that Lisa Marie had requested just one thing to be done in regard to her funeral: “Don’t make it sad.”

“Lisa, we will do our best to accommodate your request today,” Weinshanker said.

On the 12th of January, Presley was taken to the hospital for what may have been a heart attack. A few hours later, Priscilla issued a statement in which she revealed the passing of their only child together with Elvis.

In a statement, Priscilla stated, “It is with a sad heart that I must share the tragic news that my lovely daughter Lisa Marie has left us.” “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us.”

Since the day she was born, admirers have adored Lisa Marie for her smoldering eyes and distinctive pout, both of which she inherited from her father. After Elvis Presley passed away when she was only nine years old, she went on to endure further tribulations in the public glare, like high-profile divorces and battles with addiction. But losing Benjamin was the event that broke her heart the most.

“Sorrow is something you will have to carry with you for the rest of your life,” she wrote in an emotive piece for People on the process of coping with grief that was published in August of last year. “You do not ‘get over it,’ you do not ‘move on,’ period.”

Lisa Marie Presley was nine years old when her father, Elvis Presley, passed away in August 1977. As a result, she is a co-heir to Elvis’s inheritance together with her grandpa Vernon Presley and her great-grandmother Minnie Mae Hood Presley. As a result of their passing away in 1979 and 1980, she was left as the only heir to the estate. In addition, she inherited her father’s Graceland mansion, which she has now designated to be passed down to her children.

As a musical artist, Lisa Marie has recorded three albums: To Whom It May Concern, which was released in 2003, So What, which was released in 2005, and Storm & Grace, which was published in 2012. To Whom It May Concern was certified gold in the United States for having over 500,000 copies sold.

Lisa Marie was also a devoted philanthropist, as evidenced by the fact that she oversaw the Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation for a significant portion of its existence. This foundation helps homeless families and provides rent-free housing, daycare for children, and other services to families in need. Lisa Marie passed away in 2002. She was also involved with Oprah Winfrey’s Angel Network, which provides aid to individuals who have been impacted by natural disasters like Hurricane Katrina, and the Dream Factory, which helps children who are dealing with life-threatening diseases or disabilities.
