She was an employee of the New England Humane Society for the most of her life. She was exceedingly kind and kind, but for some inexplicable reason, no one was eager to give her the chance that she so desperately needed.
Unfortuitously, they ignored her as she saw the other pups from the shelter go off to begin a new and happier life with their families.
After a significant amount of time had passed, workers at the Foundation first became aware that there was an issue with Ashlyn’s health. The dog was really feeble, and she hardly had the strength to eat anything.
They brought her to a veterinarian, where they learned that the troubles she was having were far more serious than they had first imagined.
The dog’s disease had progressed to an advanced stage, and an alarming amount of tumors were beginning to cover her body. Due to the hazardous state of her health, the veterinary doctors did not provide a hopeful prognosis for her recovery.
The poor animal only had a few weeks left to live, but she hadn’t gotten the love and attention that she deserved until now. They immediately began their efforts to ensure that, despite her condition, she would be able to depart feeling loved and supported.
She barely had a few more weeks to live, but the people who rescued her determined that they would not allow her to pass away without first experiencing the joys and luxuries that are rightfully her due as a dog.
They were able to locate a family that was eager to shower him with affection throughout the last days of his life; however, the distance between them was about 900 kilometers. They couldn’t afford to wait any longer, so they got in touch with Paul Steklkenski.
The devoted pilot who started Flying Fur Animal Rescue also gave the organization its name. As soon as darling Ashlyn boarded the airplane, the good times started rolling in for her. Paul comforted her with sweets anytime he saw that she was feeling anxious, and then a few of hours later, he handed her over to her new mother, Tracy Lancer, who is now holding her in her arms.
The fragile little puppy has put on weight thanks to her and is now brimming with vigor once again. She doesn’t really have a good idea of how much time she has left, but the people who care about her know that she is happy now, and she loves giving her new family hugs and kisses.
“Now that he has experienced love. She will leave this world with the knowledge that we loved her very deeply,” Tracy added. “No matter what happens, she will know that.”
It is tragic that Ashlyn was forced to spend her whole life in a shelter; we have high hopes that she will be able to enjoy the same level of devotion in her new home as she had at the shelter.
