Stephen “tWitch” Boss, who was best known for being the DJ on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, for being a judge and an entrant on the show “So You Think You Can Dance,” and for his fun, Instagram dance videos with his wife Allison Holker Boss, has passed away at the age of 40 due to suicide. He was known for all of these things.

Holker Boss, who is 34 years old, was quoted as saying in a statement that Yahoo Entertainment was able to receive that “it is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share that my husband Stephen has left us.” “Stephen was like a beacon of light whenever he entered a room. Above all else, he placed the utmost importance on his family, his friends, and the community he lived in. Leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the rock upon which our household was built, the ideal husband and father, and a source of motivation for all of his admirers.”

On Wednesday morning, TMZ was the first media outlet to break the news. According to the publication, Holker Boss went to an LAPD station to report that Boss had left the house without his automobile, which caused her concern. The station was not identified. Shortly after that, authorities were sent to a motel that was close to the couple’s property, and there they discovered his body. After further investigation, the Los Angeles County Coroner determined that Boss took his own life inside a hotel room. The investigation is now over.

Boss was hired by DeGeneres as the resident DJ for her talk show in 2014, and he remained in that role for the remainder of the show’s run. DeGeneres paid respect to him on social media after his loss. She described him as “pure love and light” and stated that she “loved him with all my heart” before describing herself as “heartbroken.”

Boss, who was originally from Montgomery, Alabama, attended both Southern Union State Community College in his home state of Alabama and Chapman University in the state of California for his dance performance education. The hip-hop dancer and choreographer originally gained widespread recognition after competing on the fourth season of So You Think You Can Dance in 2008 when she was ultimately ranked as the runner-up. In 2009, Mia Michaels was nominated for an Emmy in the category of Choreography for her work on one of his dances, which he performed with fellow contender Katee Shean. He was on the show again for further performances, and he was a member of the SYTYCD All-Stars in a number of different seasons.
