Jennifer Aniston has been the subject of intense criticism since her breakthrough performance as Rachel on the television show “Friends.” Fans have attacked the actress for a variety of factors, one of which being the fact that she does not have any children on this planet.
After her split from Brad Pitt, she has never addressed the question of why she prioritized her work over starting a family in any of her public statements or interviews. On the other hand, she disclosed not too long ago the reasons why she likes to keep her time for her job.
After being married for four years, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston shocked the world by announcing that they were divorcing one other. Almost immediately, people started talking about the possible causes of the breakup. Some people speculated that it was because of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s friendship.
Others, on the other hand, thought that Aniston and Pitt had contradictory ideas regarding the optimal time to start a family. According to many sources, Pitt, who was 41 at the time, was eager to get married and establish a family. Aniston, who was 35 years old at the time, decided that she wanted to put off having children so that she could concentrate on her work.
Aniston and Pitt were not the only ones considering starting a family, as Angelina Jolie was also a factor in their deliberations. They each held their own unique viewpoints regarding the optimal timing to do so. After Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt divorced, Pitt began a relationship with Angelina Jolie, and nine years later, the couple was married.
While Aniston’s career flourished, she chose not to have children of her own and instead focused on maintaining her single status after marrying Jolie and having six children with her. Even Jolie and Brad Pitt’s relationship has come to an end, and Pitt is already seeing other women.
Following the conclusion of her marriage to Pitt, Aniston was subjected to a barrage of rumors and speculation from the media. She stated that she found the things that were being said in the tabloids to be “poison,” and the way that she dealt with this was by not reading any of it.
However, of all the rumors, the ones concerning why she did not have children were the ones that bothered her the most. Aniston, when asked about how she felt about them, replied the following:
“You have no idea what’s going on with me personally or physically, why I can’t have kids, or even whether it’s possible for me to have them. They are completely ignorant, and what they said was not only insensitive but also quite upsetting.”
Aniston revealed that there was a general opinion in the public that she was selfish and only cared about her profession, which is why Brad Pitt finally left her for Jolie. She stated that this was the reason why the public had this perception of her. However, she made it clear that this was not the case.
Aniston had to put herself above the allegations and defend herself against them on multiple occasions, despite the fact that they were hurtful to her. In an interview, she talked about them and said:
“It consisted entirely of lies. At this time, I don’t have anything to conceal about myself.”
Aniston revealed, for the first first time ever, the reason(s) for her decision(s) not to have children in the same interview. She was very open and honest about the challenges she faced in becoming pregnant as well as the emotional impact of her inability to carry a child to term.
Aniston shared that in her late 30s and early 40s, she went through a difficult period, but that she is thankful for it now because it helped her become the person she is now. The hardship that she went through helped her become a more resilient and powerful version of herself.
Aniston explained, in response to a question asking her to elaborate on what she meant, that during that period she had been trying to conceive a child but had been unsuccessful, and that the tabloids tracking her every step made it even more difficult for her to do so. In her words:
“Every single year, every single year, every single year of conjecture… It was very challenging.”
At the age of 53, Aniston decided she was ready to be candid about her challenges. She claimed that she underwent multiple rounds of in vitro fertilization, experimented with various herbal cures, and attempted everything else that would assist her in becoming pregnant, but none of it worked.
Aniston reflected on how she wished someone had suggested that she freeze her eggs when she was younger. However, she never gave the idea any thought and did not have that choice open to her by the time she was ready to start a family of her own.
She also admitted that nobody knew what she was going through, but she realized that she could share it now because she would not be trying for children again. She decided not to try again. In her words:
“It’s too late to turn back now.”
The actress went on to say that despite the fact that she did not get to have children, she is pleased that at the age of 53, it is no longer possible for her to become pregnant because she does not have to worry about whether or not it would work out for her.
