Tracee Ellis Ross, a former beauty queen, and current fashion icon celebrated her 50th birthday with a spectacular bash, complete with jaw-dropping ensembles and a surprise appearance by her mother, Diana Ross.

The founder of Pattern Beauty provided her followers with a sneak peek of the event by posting a humorous slideshow of photos to Instagram, which was paired with Ella Fitzgerald’s “Moonlight Serenade.” The post featured a number of well-known people, including her siblings and her Black-ish co-stars Marsai Martin and Miles Brown, among other people. However, the picture that Tracee and her mother singing what seems to be a duet together is likely to remain in people’s memories the longest.

“Some of the birthday love,” the actress, who is pictured in a gorgeous red gown, captioned the post on her Instagram account.

As you watch the video, you’ll notice that there are multiple pictures of Tracee welcoming and embracing her guests, including her mom who looks much like her and is dressed stylishly in a violet gown. Tracee can be seen becoming emotional in one of the photos as Diana appears to be giving what appears to be an emotional birthday toast. And in still another, they are both singing into their own microphones.

In addition, the montage has a few candid shots as well as many photographs of Tracee standing with her family, which includes her siblings Chudney Ross, Rhonda Ross Kendrick, Evan Ross, Leona Naess, and Ross Naess. Other family members who appear in the photographs are also named.

Just so you know, Tracee celebrated the momentous event in not one but three incredibly chic outfits. And as it turns out, Tracee’s stunning red gown was a hand-me-down from her mother, as she revealed in the caption of one image that featured the whole ensemble. She jotted down in her journal, “BIRTHDAY LOOK no. 3 from my mama’s vault.”

Tracee changed into a candy-red set for her second look, which consisted of a jacket that matched the tube top and slacks that she was wearing. She completed her outfit by donning a pair of black knee-high boots with a vintage design, giving off big throwback vibes.

And for her third look, Tracee went for a stylish, futuristic getup that gave the impression that she was ready to fight some monsters. The actress accessorized her outfit with thigh-high boots and huge sunglasses. She wore a sheer neon yellow gown over a black bathing suit.
