Dawn Lyn, best known for her role as Dodie Harper Douglas in the final three seasons of the comedy “My Three Sons,” which aired in the late 1960s and early 1970s, is currently in a battle for her life following recent surgery.

According to her co-stars on the show, Stanley Livingstone, who played her older brother Richard Douglas, and Tina Cole, who played Katie Miller Douglas, the actress had surgery to remove a tumor, and ever since then, she has been in a coma. Livingstone played Richard Douglas, and Cole played Katie Miller Douglas.

Livingstone disclosed that he and Lyn, who is also well known for her looks in “Walking Tall” and “Cry Blood, Apache,” had gone out for lunch only a few months ago and had a great time thinking back about their days on “My Three Sons.” He then urged fans to pray for her and her husband: “Lyn and her husband are going through a difficult time right now. Please pray for them.”

“Dawn is one of the kindest people I have ever met, and my thoughts and prayers are with her husband, John, during this difficult time. This is heartbreaking information!”

Cole also commented on the news, saying that she is sending her most sincere thoughts to her “beautiful lil’ sis” and her husband. She stated that she had been in communication with Lyn’s husband, who had been by her side since the operation.

Leif Garrett, Lyn’s brother, remarked that Lyn had shown an interest in maintaining the confidentiality of her operation. On the other hand, given that the information had already been made public, he reportedly stated, as reported by TMZ:

Lyn’s life was very routine and full of joy up until the point that she underwent surgery and, as a result, fell into a coma. William John Reese, who has been her spouse for the past 16 years, is the source of much joy in her life and in her marriage.

Lyn began her acting career when she was just four years old and has since acted in a wide variety of other films, such as “I Love My Wife,” “Daddy’s Girl,” and “People’s Toys,” amongst many others. She is known for her work in the entertainment industry, but she has also tried her hand at other fields, such as co-owning a store on Pier 39 in San Francisco.
