It would have been possible for Mr. Schuester to revive “Sexy Back.”
Will Schuester, the high school Spanish teacher and glee club director on the popular series Glee, was modeled after the show’s creator, Ryan Murphy, who recently revealed that he had Justin Timberlake, the musician known for the song “Can’t Stop the Feeling,” in mind when he was coming up with the character.
Murphy, who is 56 years old, started by saying, “I’ve never really spoken about this.” “Justin Timberlake was the inspiration for the writing of that pilot.”
Fans are aware that Timberlake did not wind up taking Mr. Schuester’s place as manager of the band. Matthew Morrison was cast in the role, and he has since been inextricably linked to the musical television series that ran on Fox from 2009 till 2015.
It is not yet known what finally occurred that resulted in Morrison being cast, nor is it known whether or not Timberlake had any interest in playing the part. What is known, however, is that Morrison was cast. The presenters of the podcast left listeners hanging at the conclusion of the first episode, with the expectation that the discussion would be resumed the following week.
Murphy made one more enormous revelation that had the potential to completely alter the direction that Glee will go. The person in charge of the program claims that it wasn’t always intended for Mr. Schuester to have the most positive effect.
At an early point in the program, Murphy revealed, “I consider Mr. Schue to have been a crystal meth addict in Ian’s screenplay.” “The show choir adaptation rated NC-17, with a strange main character who was falling apart.”
This storyline was eventually scrapped since Morrison’s Schuester was portrayed as a music-loving, geeky professor who did not have a drug problem in the film.
Although Glee is perhaps one of Murphy’s most well-known works, his most recent effort, Dahmer, has recently set a new record for the number of streams on Netflix. The grim thriller, which stars Evan Peters as Jeffrey Dahmer, became the platform’s second-most viewed English series of all time only 20 days after it first aired.
It took first place with 701 million total hours seen by viewers.
