After making appearances in a number of Aaron Spelling series during the 1980s and 1990s, Heather Locklear became a well-known celebrity. She famously played the role of Sammy Jo Carrington on “Dynasty,” as well as Amanda Woodward on “Melrose Place.” Throughout the next several decades, she maintained a career as an actress in both television and movies. On the other hand, it would seem that she has lately taken a break from Hollywood, since her most recent part was on the television program “Fresh Off the Boat” in the year 2017.
Her private life gained almost as much attention as her work in the movies did. From 1986 to 1993, Heather Locklear was married to the musician Tommy Lee of the band Motley Crüe. During their marriage, Locklear and Lee were a classic rock ‘n’ roll pair. However, after their separation, Locklear had a romantic relationship with Richie Sambora, who was the guitarist for Bon Jovi at the time. They welcomed their first child, a girl they called Ava Sambora, in 1997 after being married in 1994. Their marriage, on the other hand, did not survive, and in 2006 they initiated the divorce process.
Ava is now 24 years old and has developed into a smart young lady over her lifetime. She earned her bachelor’s degree when she was 23 years old and, at this point in her life, looks to be following in the footsteps of both of her parents by pursuing a career in the entertainment business. In addition to this, she has inherited her mother’s stunning good features, which has led many of her admirers to believe that she is a miniature replica of Locklear.
Ava will undoubtedly be successful in life since she inherited both her mother’s and her father’s good looks and positive attitude. She gave an interview to People in the year 2020 in which she discussed the help that her mother had provided her in order to deal with her nervousness, and she has also said that her father is “such a rock for (her).”
Locklear’s birthday is September 25th, and she was born in Los Angeles, California. She was raised in a family in which her father was a production executive and a retired Colonel in the United States Marine Corps. Locklear started her modeling career when she was a student at UCLA, where she also made appearances in advertisements for the school’s bookstore. Despite this, it wasn’t long before Locklear found herself acting in programs and films that were packed with A-list celebrities.
Locklear has a successful career in Hollywood during the 1980s and 1990s, earning a reputation as a leading lady. Her breakthrough came in the form of a leading part on the long-running television series “Dynasty,” in which she played the character Sammy Jo Carrington from 1981 to 1989. Additionally, because of her work in this role, Locklear began a fruitful partnership with the late film and television producer Aaron Spelling.
After that, Locklear was a guest star on a number of other television programs, such as “T.J. Hooker” and “Spin City,” the latter of which garnered her nominations for the Golden Globes. Although Locklear had definitely hit her stride well before the start of the millennium, her professional life continued unabated after the turn of the century. The movie “Looney Tunes: Back in Action” featured the acting talents of the actress. In the 2005 romantic comedy “The Perfect Man,” which also featured Hilary Duff, Chris Noth, and Ben Feldman, Locklear had a leading role. She was cast in a reoccurring role on the comedy series “Hot in Cleveland,” and in 2013, she was promoted to a regular position on the television series “Franklin & Bash.”
Locklear has shown her flexibility as an actress by portraying a wide range of roles throughout the course of her career. She has found herself entangled in intimate relationships with a number of stars, including Tommy Lee, Richie Sambora, and Jack Wagner, among others. Despite the fact that she had a difficult time in both of her marriages, she was still able to begin a family.
On October 4, 1997, Locklear became a mother to a child who is a carbon copy of herself. Even while Ava was still a small child, it was easy to see that she took like her mother. She went to several premieres with Heather Locklear, and their remarkable similarity was highlighted by the fact that they both had blond hair, broad grins, and dazzling eyes.
Ava has amassed more than 159,000 followers on Instagram thanks to the support of her own social media fans. People couldn’t believe how much she resembled her mother when they saw a picture of her from August of 2020, in which she posed with some pink flowers, and she had published the picture on social media. One reader wrote in to say:
“You look precisely like your Mama ”
While this was going on, someone else commented, saying, “You certainly are a wonderful beauty, taking after your beautiful mother!!” Ava not only physically resembles her mother, but she has also practically adopted her mother’s taste in clothing and accessories. Ava has taken after her mother in every way possible. She shared a snapshot of herself from the month of May, in which she was wearing a tank top with her father’s band, Bon Jovi, printed on the one shoulder. It came out that she had taken it from her mother’s wardrobe, and she also showed a photo of Locklear wearing the shirt when she was younger. She wrote in the caption of the post: “I got it from my mother (Like, I truly got this shirt from my mom’s wardrobe),” you may say.
The snapshot showed that she had a striking likeness to her mother, but it also included a touching tribute to her father’s band, which brought a smile to everyone’s face. Ava divulged some of the guidance that her mother had given her about the entertainment industry during an interview that she gave in 2019 to Wingman Magazine. She said:
“My mother always told me that the finest piece of advise she could give me was to not take anything too personally. There will be a thousand times that you will hear ‘no,’ but it only takes a few yeses, and waiting for those yeses will be worth it. I believe that having this attitude is such a crucial trait to have in this line of work.
Ava, in the meanwhile, has been quite vocal about how much support she receives from both of her parents. She discussed the support that Sambora has provided her with over the years in an interview she gave to People in the year 2020. In her words:
He has been such a pillar of support for me for the whole of my life. He has been an incredible supporter of me and all of my goals over the years.
She continued by saying, “My dad loves me with every ounce of himself, and I feel very fortunate to be his daughter.”
Ava has also relied on Locklear for a significant amount of assistance since the latter has guided her through “quite severe” episodes of anxiety. In a previous interview, she disclosed to People that despite the fact that her mother resided an hour away from her, Locklear “would drive over and see (her)” whenever her daughter had an anxiety episode. She went on to say that
“No matter what time of day it was, she would drop whatever she was doing and rush over here to console me. She would remain on the phone with me late into the night, even after I said she did not have to, until I was finally able to go asleep since I was no longer anxious.
Additionally, Locklear “did all she could to assist” her daughter get through the challenging months they were going through. Ava continued by saying that she also went with her to the doctor’s visits and provided her with “loads of literature on handling anxiety.”
It is quite evident that Ava is cherished by both of her parents and receives a great deal of love and support from them. Since she graduated from college within the past year, it would seem that she intends to pursue a career in the entertainment industry, given that she has shown interest in pursuing her ideal performing roles in the future. We have no doubt that her mother and father are pleased with her accomplishments.
