When they came to save her, they found out to their surprise that she had just just given birth. They looked all over the region for her litter of pups but were unable to locate them, which was quite disappointing.

She is now rehabilitating at the humane society, but it seems as if she is missing her pups terribly. MHS will assist her in finding the most suitable permanent home after she has regained her health.

In the meanwhile, the Gentle Society has not given up on finding the mother dog and her pups, despite the fact that they are aware of the difficulty of the task at hand, which is compounded by the fact that the mother dog might have originated from any location and not only Detroit.

When the mother dog was giving birth, there is a good chance that someone got rid of her, but they could have retained one of her pups to sell.
