Only a few months after receiving a cancer diagnosis, Randy Moss made a heartfelt comeback to the broadcasting world in time for the NFL’s most important day of the year.
On Sunday, the NFL star returned to the air for “NFL Countdown” on ESPN, where he was joined by his colleagues announcers who astonished him with a moving video tribute featuring some of the greatest football players ever.
“Hi Randy, wanted to let you know that you have our support as you battle on. Bill Belichick, Moss’ former New England Patriots manager, stated, “Welcome back to TV and Countdown.”
Tom Brady, RM’s former teammate, said, “Welcome back Randy,” expressing his joy for Moss’ comeback. Not only have we all missed you, but I’m sure the men on the set have too. You were a regular on the field and had been on that program for a long time.”

Brady went on: “And for as great as you were on the field in showing everybody the strength and resilience of how you performed over the course of your Hall of Fame career, you’ve impressed and inspired us more than anything you’ve done off the field, man.”
The heartfelt remembrance also included Steve Smith Sr., Cam Heyward, Micah Parsons, Malik Nabers, Justin Jefferson, Kevin Garnett, and Jerry Rice.
Moss was naturally touched by the homage. As the camera returned to him, he sobbed and said, “You all already know.” As you are well aware, this person is a major crybaby. Hey everyone, I couldn’t have done it by myself. And you have my sincere gratitude.”
“Hey guys, it’s been hard, but I got a lot of love and a lot of people believing in me,” he said as he concluded. I’m glad to be present.
Moss said in December that when he detected some discoloration in his urine, physicians found a malignant growth between his liver and pancreas. Later, the malignant growth was removed by doctors.
