TMZ has discovered that DJ Unk, the Atlanta rapper, passed from a heart attack.
Sherkita Long-Platt, Unk’s wife, informed TMZ that he passed away in his sleep on January 24 after experiencing a heart attack. She claims that the family is aware of the several tales that are circulating about the circumstances of his death, and she wants people to know what really happened. She informs us that the rumor that he passed from drugs is false since he did not use drugs.
We have been informed that a candlelight vigil will be held later tonight in his neighborhood in Atlanta.
As we reported, Sherkita announced his death on Facebook on Friday, saying, “Please respect me and my family.” I just lost my spouse, and my children have also lost their father. Our lives will be changed forever. “Anthony, I will love you forever.”

In the late 1990s, he began his career and later teamed up with DJ Montay and DJ Jelly to create Southern Style DJs. In 2000, Unk was signed to Big Oomp Records.
In 2009, he was battling with health problems that were not disclosed, and these problems had an impact on his work. In the years that followed, he put out a few more singles.
He was only 43 years old.
