According to him, he “got hit on the face with the Hollywood shovel,” but he assured his supporters that he was in a better position emotionally after taking a step back from the spotlight for a limited amount of time.
Instead of being remembered for his romantic past, Pete says that he would rather to be known for “doing good work” in the present day.
In addition, he said, “I only want to be out there when it’s a movie, stand-up comedy, charitable endeavors, or an entrepreneurial endeavor.” At that time, I would want to be observed. I do not want to be this f***ing loser who is just interested in dating someone. That is not who I am at all.

Maria criticized the allegation, stating that she and Pete “never dated” and informing followers that the comedian was “not in rehab and [had] been sober for months.” This information was revealed by TMZ in a previous article.
Instead of openly addressing the issue, Pete opted to ignore it all and accompany his mother to a Brooklyn Nets game. Pete never explicitly addressed the problem until much later.
