Have you ever had a beloved wish come true that was for something that you had desired for a very long time? After a very long wait, a couple from Pennsylvania finally had the want of their hearts granted, even if it did not go precisely as they had anticipated.

One of the goals of a couple living in Pennsylvania was to start a large family together. This is a dream that is shared by a big number of romantic partners; but, for some people, it is tied to a great deal of difficulty and suffering. Not every couple has an easy time having children; in fact, a far higher percentage of individuals than you would assume spend years of their lives attempting to conceive a child before they ultimately succeed. The situation was the same for the couple that was in love. They decided to begin the adoption process in 2017 in an effort to finally have a family of their own. But they were also aware that at some point in the future they would want to have their own biological children, and they cherished the idea of having a large family with many of children to care for and enjoy. They were taken aback when they learned that they were expecting quadruplets.

Jacob Young, to whom Maxine Young was married, already had a large family when they married. Before Maxine became pregnant for the second time, the Youngs had already fulfilled their lifelong goal of having a large family by bringing four amazing children into the world via the adoption process and one biological child into the world.

The news that Maxine was pregnant came as a complete shock to the family; yet, it would result in a significant expansion of the family in a very short amount of time. In the year 2020, the couple had their biological son Henry, who was 23 months old, as well as their adopted children Aiden, who was eight years old, Parker, who was five years old, Connor, who was four years old, and Elliott, who was three years old. In addition, in July of the same year, they became parents to four more children, bringing their total number of children to nine.

According to People magazine, both Maxine and her husband were taken aback when they learned that she was expecting another child. What came as an even bigger surprise to them was the fact that she was carrying quadruplets. She had never, not even in her wildest thoughts, considered the possibility that she might have four babies at once. Maxine provided an explanation, saying, “This was not at all what we meant. We did not anticipate having a family of this size at all. However, it looks as if these children were destined to be together. At this moment in time, I just cannot fathom without having any of the four of them… It came as such a shock to me.”

Despite the previous startling news, Maxine was overcome with happiness as she finally gave birth to her precious children. She was overjoyed and unable to contain her feelings of happiness and excitement as she posted the good news on Instagram. She went into labor on July 31, 2020, after a pregnancy that lasted 32 weeks. Because they needed to be closely monitored, the four newborn infants had to spend some time in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. On the other hand, their condition remained unchanged.

According to what Maxine and Jacob told People, even though they want to have a large family, they were not prepared to all of a sudden be responsible for nine children. Their greatest shock came in the form of quadruplets, and they quickly realized that caring for nine children would be quite a challenge. Despite this, the pair seemed unfazed by it all.

As Maxine was growing up, People stated that she always understood what it was that she wanted when it came to children. She had already determined that she was interested in being a foster parent. She went so far as to do research on foster care and the children who were looking for loving homes:

“Ever since I was a small girl, I’ve had the strong desire to be a foster parent or adopt a child. As I became older, I heard about the concept of foster care as well as the reality that there are a great number of children in need of homes. After we were married, that’s when we started talking about it (seriously),” I said. “When I met Jake, we spoke about it, and after we got married, that’s when we talked about it.”

The cultivation of a deep understanding between partners may be facilitated by the sharing of passions. When Jacob and Maxine initially got to know one other, she told him about her want to adopt and foster children. He was encouraging and joined her in taking lessons on foster care, which they completed together in 2017 and received clearance for.

Maxine and Jacob’s original plan was to become legal guardians of two children. However, they were asked to take in three more children as foster care, and Maxine and Jacob decided to do so. All three of the children are now living with them. They were stunned by the news that they heard shortly after that, as recounted in People:

Then, not even a month later, we received a call about their younger sister. She had been admitted to the NICU. So we went from having no children to having four in a little over a month after we adopted her. It was wonderful, but certainly a hectic experience.

They did not initiate the adoption process until many months later, when the children’s biological parents began missing planned visits with their children.

Jacob’s mother, ArLette Young, has established a GoFundMe account in an effort to get financial assistance for Jacob’s devoted parents. The campaign was successful in raising more than $11,900.

They had been fostering their four children for six months when they got the good news that Maxine was pregnant. The pregnancy came six months after they had begun fostering their children. Since the couple had experience with IVF treatment in the past and was aware that Maxine suffered from PCOS, they were skeptical as to whether or not she would be able to get pregnant naturally. To add insult to injury, it was later discovered that she was carrying quadruplets that had been naturally conceived.

Instagram served as the venue for Maxine’s documentation of her visit to the physician:

“She looked at me and said, ‘welp, it looks like there are three babies growing in there!'” she added. I suddenly burst out laughing awkwardly, and I was in total disbelief. When I questioned her whether everything seemed to be in order and if the kids were measuring appropriately, she said that they were exactly six weeks old.

Based on Maxine’s busy presence on various social media sites, the Young family looks to be doing well in the present day.
