The show America’s Got Talent has the ability to evoke a wide range of emotions, from happiness to sadness. When it comes down to it, however, “utter disbelief” could be our favorite emotion to experience when viewing the stunning spectacle every summer.
When Jokgu the Chicken played an incredible performance of “America the Beautiful” on the piano during Season 12 of America’s Got Talent, the crowd and the judges were completely blown away. Let’s journey back in time to that moment. (And of course, it is quite OK if you had to read that statement more than once in order to really understand what you are going to witness!
Being able to train a pet chicken how to perform “America the Beautiful” on national television is something that is really incredible. For the majority of people, the idea of owning a chicken as a pet is inconceivable. Little Jokgu overcame its stage fright and began pecking away to the recognizable chords of the iconic music, despite the fact that he first seemed timid (leading judges such as Mel B and Simon Cowell to make audible moans and eye rolls).

Simon Cowell explains the reasons why he continues to be a member of the American Idol.
Since Season 11, when he first took his seat at the Judges’ table, Simon Cowell has been inextricably linked to each and every facet of the Competition event. Over the course of almost ten years, he has seen everything; thus, why does he continue to return year after year?
In an interview with PEOPLE that took place in November 2022, the celebrity discussed the reasons why he enjoys being a part of the renowned competition series.
“We’ve met the most incredible people along the way and that’s a big reason of why I love doing this show,” Cowell said in an interview. These are the things that keep me on the show. I just like that particular aspect of it. “It’s that first audition when you see someone’s true talent and you think to yourself, ‘Yeah, this is a moment.'”
“And when you see them out in the real world, doing well off the back of one of your shows, it’s the best feeling in the world,” he went to say. “That is the reason why you go into the show every year with that feeling of anticipation, hoping that we could find that person again,” she said. And it’s a wonderful sensation to have.”
He is not inaccurate. The success that they had on America’s Got Talent has helped a great number of former contestants begin their careers, including Darci Lynne, Kodi Lee, and a great number of other outstanding Acts!
