When a thief in New Hampshire attempted to steal from a lady who was in the process of completing her shopping at a Walmart, he did not anticipate receiving instant retribution from a veteran of the United States Army. However, it is exactly what ended up taking place.
Rick White, a veteran of the Army, was doing some shopping at the Manchester Walmart when the cries of a lady brought his attention to a situation that was occurring just in front of him. Rhonda Healey, who was 51 years old at the time, was browsing greeting cards when she had her wallet taken from her.
Healey’s wallet was in Healey’s open handbag, which was placed at the front of her shopping cart. The robber felt he had discovered an easy victim when he noticed Healey’s wallet. But White, an Army Drill Sergeant who had just returned from a tour of duty in Afghanistan lasting nine months, was determined to show the thug how wrong he was.
The purse thief attempted to escape out the front door, but White tackled him to the ground and forced him to the ground. The thief had no idea what had just happened to him.
White utilized an arm-bar to keep the suspect subdued until the police came after he had first taken the suspect to the ground and grabbed the suspect’s arm. The breathtaking view inspired many others to capture it on camera.
After further investigation, the police determined that the suspect was a guy by the name of Alan White, who was 24 years old. It is important to keep him and the good Samaritan Army veteran Rick White, with whom he has no known links, from being mistaken with one another. According to WCVB5, Rick White has been quoted as saying, “I grabbed him and threw him to the ground.” “He struck me and attempted to get hold of me. I sat on him until the cops arrived at the scene. I took his arm in mine and warned him, “Give me your other hand or I’ll break this one.” He complied. White continued by saying, “And that was it, he gave me his other hand.”
White continued by explaining what had transpired earlier that day in the Walmart aisle, saying, “I put him in a wrist lock and an arm-bar, and that took the fight right out of him.”
