Christian Dumontet, the former husband of Selling Sunset actress Christine Quinn, has been legally accused after a domestic altercation that occurred in March 2024. According to the allegations, the couple’s young son was one of the victims of the event.
PEOPLE has been informed by the office of the Los Angeles City Attorney that the top CEO in the technology industry has been charged with three misdemeanor offenses: assault, child abuse or endangerment, and violation of a protective order.
People attempted to get in touch with representatives for Dumontet, who is also known by the name Christian Richard, but they did not get a response right away.
In 2019, Dumontet and the 35-year-old former cast member of Selling Sunset tied the knot. 2021 was the year that they became parents to their son, Christian George Dumontet. Dumontet filed a petition for divorce in April of 2024.
The allegations against Dumontet are a result of two events that occurred in March at their family home in Los Angeles. Both of these episodes resulted in his detention.
On March 19, he was taken into custody in connection with an incident of domestic abuse that included their kid of the same name.
“The victim and the suspect were involved in a domestic dispute,” a public information officer said in response to a journalist’s inquiry about the event. The culprit tossed a bag that contained a glass bottle at the victim, but the bag missed the victim. However, the item struck the kid of the victim, causing the youngster to sustain injuries.
The statement from law authorities indicates that Dumontet was charged with assault with a “de.adly weapon” after the child was treated by paramedics. The statement was made after the youngster was treated.
He was taken into custody once again on March 20, the day after, for allegedly violating an emergency protection order, according to the Los Angeles Police Department, which verified this information to People at the time.

In the time that has passed since then, both Dumontet and Quinn have sought multiple restraining orders against one another, as well as made charges against one another.
It was during the same month that Dumontet made the assertion that he was of the opinion that the luxury real estate agent may be plotting to kidnap their son.
PEOPLE was able to receive a copy of his request, and within it, he requested that Quinn relocate a distance of one hundred yards (three hundred feet) from his residence in Los Angeles.
PEOPLE was able to receive Quinn’s records, in which she said that Dumontet had a tendency to behave in a “volatile and erratic” manner in the past.
Her divorced husband, she said, had taken “extreme measures to prevent me from leaving the property” and to “isolate me and our son,” including shutting down their front security gate “so that we physically cannot leave the property.” She also claimed that he had “isolated me and our son.”
After a court granted Quinn’s request for a temporary restraining order in April, it was determined that her ex-partner was the one who was required to leave their shared house in Hollywood, which was the location of the alleged altercation. The request that Dumontet made to have a restraining order issued against Quinn was turned down by a court.
PEOPLE has been informed by the office of the Los Angeles City Attorney that Dumontet is scheduled to be arraigned on June 4th.
In a statement to People, representatives for Quinn made the following statement: “We are extremely satisfied with the decision of the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office to file three separate charges against Mr. Dumontet.” As of right now, he has been legally charged with child abuse against his toddler, who is two years old, assault against Christine Quinn, and for breaking a restraining order.
According to what they stated, “We believe that this new development is a crucial step toward safeguarding the legal and personal interests of both victims, and we trust that the matter will continue to be handled with the utmost seriousness that it deserves.”
