Amy (Duggar) King has high expectations that her cousin Josh Duggar will have a difficult time when he is incarcerated.
On the 29th of April, Josh, who was 36 years old at the time, was taken into custody for receiving and having files that included child sexual assault. It was on December 9, 2021 that he was found guilty, and on May 25, 2022, he was sentenced to imprisonment for almost thirteen years. The appeal that he submitted was not granted, and instead, his sentence was prolonged by almost two months.
At the Federal Correctional Institution Seagoville in Texas, the former star of the television show 19 Kids and Counting is scheduled to stay there until October 2032.
“I hope every day there is absolute torture for him,” Amy, who is 37 years old, says in an exclusive communication with PEOPLE. “I really hope that because what he watched and what he was viewing for his own fulfillment is those kids experiencing torture.”
“He deserves every second in there, and I hope he gets a longer term,” the mother of one continued. “I hope he gets his sentence extended.” Let’s hope he makes another mistake.
The disgraced television personality, Josh, who has seven children with his wife Anna Duggar, had previously made news for sexually abusing many young girls, including sisters Jill (Duggar) Dillard and Jessa (Duggar) Seewald, when they were teenagers. This occurred before to the child pornography incident that Josh was involved in. In addition, he acknowledged to having an illicit affair with Ashley Madison, and he ultimately decided to put himself through rehabilitation for his addiction to pornography.
Amy claims that she does not “know if he is doing any work” on himself while Josh is incarcerated. This statement is made on the basis of Josh’s previous actions.

“I have not communicated with him, and I will not do so in the future. I am not going to,” she confirms. “When you simply cross those evil lines in such a manner, there is no turning back.” I just believe that there is no way to go back.”
In addition, Amy does not communicate with Anna, who is married to her cousin, despite the fact that they first saw one other at a funeral in the summer of 2023. Amy made an offer to Anna and her children to provide them with a place to stay after Josh was sentenced to jail, which led to the encounter that took place.
“That occasion was the last one. I was taken aback when I saw her since I had not, in all honesty, anticipated seeing anybody there. Simply looking at her and saying, “Anna,” she responded by saying, “I just need space.” I simply stared at her. She remembers that was the only thing she said to her.
“I understand, I can’t speak for Anna and I’m not going to try, but I can’t imagine what she has to deal with internally, let alone out for the world to see,” she continues to say. “It’s heartbreaking in every direction and I just respected the fact that she needed space and I didn’t try to push any further.”
“I wanted to say a great deal,” she said. She continues by saying, “At that very moment, it was not obviously the right location for me to say all of the things that I wanted to say.” During the funeral, there was a ceremony, which was more accurately a viewing, and yes. I didn’t do it because it wasn’t the proper time, I didn’t want to create a fuss, I didn’t want to attract attention to anything, and I absolutely respect her, so I didn’t do it. But if you ask me, I believe that she is really angry. Yes, I am. I believe that she is simply really, extremely angry.
