Beginning with her first role in the television series Married… with Children and continuing with her highly praised work in the Netflix series Dead to Me, Christina Applegate has been a major figure in the world of television acting for many decades.
Applegate has recently disclosed that she has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis… She has the belief that she will never be able to perform in front of the camera again.

Applegate, who is 51 years old, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, a condition that affects the central nervous system and is characterized by symptoms such as weariness, muscular weakness, and difficulties with balance and coordination.
While shooting the last season of Dead to Me in 2021, the actress disclosed the condition that she was suffering from. Regarding her condition, she was unable to continue filming because of her fears.
In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, the actor who became known for his role in Anchorman discussed her struggles with multiple sclerosis (MS), noting that these concerns have made her day-to-day existence challenging by disrupting her equilibrium.
According to what she shared with Vanity Fair, “There is never a good day with MS.” Because of this, you are unable to carry goods or walk down the stairs anymore. “It is a f—ing nightmare.”
While Applegate was complimenting her co-star Linda Cardellini in Dead to Me, she dropped a hint that the Netflix series would be her last on-screen appearance. She said that her multiple sclerosis made it impossible for her to work the long hours required for production.
The statement that Applegate made was, “I’m probably not going to work on camera again.”
She continued by saying, “I would be unable to even fathom going to set at this very moment.” “Over time, this is a disease that gets progressively worse.” The situation could become much worse, but I can’t say for sure. Considering that I have to provide for my family and maintain my mental acuity, I am able to provide voiceover services.
While Applegate had earlier said to Variety that there was “no way” she could commit the same amount of time to Dead to Me, she was now investigating alternative opportunities to continue performing.
During the conversation, Applegate said, “It’s all about discovering what I’m capable of.” “This is just the beginning of my journey with this.” The diagnosis of this condition and the identification of the factors that are causing symptoms will take some time. “I’m just getting started with this because it’s something else.”
Therefore, I am attempting to figure it out, and at the same time, I am lamenting the person that I used to be. I need to find a location that is just as gorgeous as my set, where no one will think I’m a diva if I say, “Hey, I can only work for five hours.”
In addition, Applegate has stated a desire to work in the entertainment business in a new role, such as producing or developing: “I’ve got a lot of ideas in my head, and I just need to get them executed,” she said in an interview with Variety.
At the beginning of this year, Applegate made the announcement that the SAG Awards will stand as her “last awards show as an actor.”

The battle against breast cancer was also won by Applegate. In the year 2008, she was given a diagnosis of breast cancer, and after undergoing a double mastectomy, she claimed that she was cancer-free.

Despite the fact that Christina Applegate is one of our favorites, it is unfortunate that she will not be able to perform as often as she could in the past. As she battles multiple sclerosis, we hope that she will be able to continue working and wish her the best of luck.
