When a couple is expecting a child, particularly if they have been trying to conceive for a considerable amount of time, it is one of the most wonderful sensations in the world because they will soon have a tiny bundle of joy in their lives. In the terrible instance of Whitney Quinton and her husband Brett, who were bereaved of their little daughter called Ruby-Jo, this is the situation that happened.
Her account, which was published in Love What Matters in November 2023, states that the couple had been trying to conceive for more than six years, and as a result, they were ecstatic when they discovered that they were having a baby girl.
Prior to then, Whitney had been through four laparoscopies in order to surgically remove her endometriosis, which caused her to have a number of health problems. A “terrible miscarriage” was another circumstance that she experienced.
During the scan, at which point they discovered the gender of their kid, they were filled with excitement. On the other hand, it took far longer than normal, and they discovered that the baby’s heart was located in the incorrect location later on.
Not only that, but she was also lacking a kidney, and her long bones were not developing as they should have been.
After that, the radiologist informed her that she had the choice to decide whether or not to abort the pregnancy within the following three weeks.
In response to this, she exhibited a different reaction, as she recalled: “I let out a scream that I didn’t even know I was capable of.” My knees buckled under me, and I continued to scream. Additionally, Whitney had a period of suffering over the following several weeks, which she referred to as “hell.” This was not the only issue that the couple encountered.
Because the baby had so many challenges, the couple ultimately came to the conclusion that neither their daughter nor Whitney should continue to suffer, despite the fact that they had a strong desire to have the kid regardless of the difficulties she was experiencing. The chances of their kid surviving were very low, and the little time she would have on earth would be filled with a great deal of suffering.
In a later stage, Whitney used medicine to induce labor, and the delivery of the baby took place in December of 2021.

Throughout the course of her narrative, Whitney continued to share it on her Instagram account. In one of her posts, she included a picture of herself cradling her baby, who did not survive.
“My soul now feels empty, weak, lifeless, fragile, broken, and straight up angry,” she wrote in the description of the sorrowful photo. Every day, I mourn the person I used to be before I received the news that had the potential to destroy the world.
At the same time, she was devastated by the fact that her son, Ronan, was never given the opportunity to be Ruby’s older brother.
A slideshow of photographs taken at Ruby’s funeral was included in the movie that was included in another post that was released in December 2023, which was intended to be her daughter’s second birthday.
“Have a wonderful birthday, my darling. “Your mother, father, and older brother love you more than you could ever hope to comprehend,” she wrote in the caption of the photographs.
