During the weekend, the actress was present at MegaCon, which took place in Orlando, Florida.

In the ongoing verbal spat between former Charmed co-stars Shannen Doherty and Alyssa Milano, the former has once again spoken out with tears over her dismissal from the popular series. Milano has also spoken out about her departure from the show.

“A lot of things have been said, and a lot of them are very hurtful,” Doherty stated during a MegaCon panel that took place over the weekend in Orlando, Florida. The panel also included Holly Marie Combs and Rose McGowan.

Fans may remember that Combs was a guest on Doherty’s podcast, Let’s Be Clear, in December. During that time, Combs made the accusation that Milano was a significant factor in Doherty’s termination from the popular series in the early 2000s. After that, Milano provided her statement on Friday during a Who’s the Boss? panel at MegaCon, which was the occasion when the topic was brought up before her.

She said that she is “most sad for the fans” since she is aware that the program “has meant so much to so many people” but that it has now “been tarnished by a toxicity that is still to this day almost a quarter of a century later still happening.” Milano did not outright reject the accusation at first, but she did say that she is “most sad for the fans.”

The next day, Milano turned to Instagram to provide further background to the situation, and then she made it clear that she was not responsible for Doherty’s termination.

“I am not aware of any other show that has achieved the kind of popularity that Charmed did, where the cast continues to express negative sentiments about the experience even after a quarter of a century has passed. A portion of what she wrote was, “This is 15 movies and 13 television shows ago for me.” “It was eleven years before I was married, which would last for fifteen years, and thirteen years before I had my first kid. It has been such a long time since this occurred that any recounting of these tales by anybody is nothing more than revisionist history.

After Doherty became aware of Milano’s comments, she formulated her own reaction, which she then proceeded to deliver out to the audience.

As a matter of fact, Doherty said that she and Combs had “edited out” material on the podcast that they believed would “cause more drama,” preferring instead to just convey “the truth.”

“The truth actually does matter, but we wanted to try to save you, the fans, from heartbreak as much as humanly possible,” the actress said. “At this point in my life, with my health diagnosis…”

At this juncture, Doherty diverted her attention from her remark in order to express her regret for the tears that were about to fall. The actor, who is 51 years old, is presently undergoing treatment for cancer in the fourth stage.

She apologized, saying, “I’m sorry if I start crying.” “With fighting this horrific disease every day of my life, it is also incredibly important to me that the truth actually be told as opposed to the narrative that others have put out there for me.”

Several of Milano’s assertions, like the one that there was a mediator present on set, were refuted by her.

“I recall the facts as if I were still living in them, and what I will say is that what somebody else may call drama is an actual trauma for me that I have lived with for an extremely long time,” concluded the woman. “And it is only through my fight against cancer that I made the decision to address this trauma and be open and honest about it. This is due to the fact that I want to actually heal from a livelihood that was taken away from me, a livelihood that was taken away from my family, because someone else wanted to be number one on the call sheet ” Indeed, it is the reality.

McGown rushed in to say, “We protected you for a long time, we’ve done it as long as we could.” This came after he had paused for the crowd to acknowledge their applause.

She went on to say that she had heard a phrase by the comedian Katt Williams, which was as follows: “Winners do not let losers rewrite history.”

As Milano pondered on their tumultuous past in 2021, she told ET that she and Doherty were “cordial.” Milano was referring to their relationship.

“A significant portion of the tension that we experienced could be attributed to me,” she said. “I believe that a significant portion of our struggle stemmed from the perception that I was competing with other people, rather than stemming from the sense of sisterhood that the show was so much about,” she said. “And I have some guilt about my part in that.”
