Los Angeles will serve as the backdrop for the series.

It won’t be long until fans will be able to go back to the world of Suits! Suits: Los Angeles is a spinoff of the immensely successful series that featured Gabriel Macht, Patrick J. Adams, Meghan Markle, Sarah Rafferty, and Gina Torres. On Thursday, Entertainment Tonight revealed that NBC has commissioned a pilot for the show, which will be named Suits: Los Angeles.

Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York who has reinvented himself to represent the most powerful clients in Los Angeles, acts as the protagonist of the program, which is expected to begin filming in Vancouver at the end of March.

“Ted’s company is at a crisis point, and in order for him to survive, he must embrace a role that he held in contempt throughout his entire career,” the logline describes the situation. During the course of the story, Ted is surrounded by a remarkable cast of individuals who put their allegiances to Ted and to each other to the test while simultaneously attempting to combine their personal and professional lives. All of this is taking place at the same time that Ted is slowly unraveling the events that occurred many years ago that finally drove him to abandon everything and everyone he loved.

In addition to David Bartis, Doug Liman, and Gene Klein, Aaron Korsh, the creator of the television show Suits, is going to serve as an executive producer for the project. A pilot episode of the show will be directed by Victoria Mahoney.

The announcement comes many months after De.adline revealed that Korsh was working on producing a new legal drama that would not be a remake of the original program but rather would be in the same spirit as the CSI and NCIS series.

The second spinoff of the original series, which ran from 2011 to 2019, Suits: L.A. has had a comeback in recent years because to its debut on Netflix. The original series aired from these years to 2019. After just one season, the television show Pearson, which followed Torres’ character Jessica Pearson as she negotiated the legal and political landscape in Chicago, was canceled in 2019.

At this time, the cast of Suits: Los Angeles has not been disclosed. A recent reunion of the original cast of the show took place at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards, however Meghan Markle was not there.

In the days leading up to the ceremony, Rafferty shared with ET, “It’s so nice to see old friends again,” and Macht concurred, saying, “It’s exciting.” A few of the people that were on my cast in the performance will be there. There are certain people I know from films that I’ve done in the past, and I’ll be seeing them. Becoming a part of the evening is a pleasant experience.
