The use of instrumental music is widespread. The dancefloor is where electronic dance music reigns supreme. In addition, some people at home are listening to instrumental music in order to relax and study along with it. There are no lyrics on film soundtracks, yet they nonetheless have the ability to evoke strong feelings in you.

What about the situation when a cello is used in lieu of a singer? Is it just as good?

As soon as you listen to this rendition of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah,” you will realize that the proof is in the pudding. By means of its stunning dueling cellos, it instantly puts a smile on your face and tugs at your emotions.

It is a complete and absolute delight for your ears.

Despite the fact that the original version of Hallelujah from 1984 was met with tepid reaction, Leonard Cohen has proved to be a phenomenon with his versions of the song. Most notably, the rendition of this amazing song that was released in 1994 by Jeff Buckley in the Alternative Rock genre is what launched it into the public.

Because it was such a huge success, the original version was used in the film Shrek seven years later.

Despite the fact that Hallelujah has been covered by musicians such as Bob Dylan, Justin Timberlake, and Bon Jovi, the audio-visual bliss that 2CELLOS has created is on an entirely other level. If you are able to listen to the whole thing without shedding even a single tear, we challenge you. It is not hard to see Jeff Buckley and Leonard Cohen looking down at them with a smile on their faces.

2CELLOS is comprised of two Croatian musicians named Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser, and they are not new to the concept of reinventing classics. They perform a wide variety of songs, ranging from the theme song from Pirates of the Caribbean to the hard rock anthem “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC. It was with their rendition of Michael Jackson’s song “Smooth Criminal” that they made their debut on the internet. This rendition has had more than 830 million views.
