Even though they have three children and have been married for 44 years, many people would be astonished to find that Henry Winkler and his wife practically never saw each other again after their initial encounter at a clothes shop. This is despite the fact that they have been married.
Henry Winkler is perhaps best renowned for his performance as Arthur Fonzarelli on the television show “Happy Days,” but he also deserves credit for his devoted marriage to Stacey. It’s hard to imagine that the two nearly never went on a date before they started dating…
Because of the many memorable parts he has portrayed over the course of his lengthy career, Henry Winkler is well-known to the vast majority of people. Winkler is most known for his performance as Arthur “Fonzie” Fonzarelli in “Happy Days,” a character who is still extensively referenced in today’s popular culture. Winkler’s depiction of “Fonzie” earned him an Emmy Award.
When Stacey and Henry first crossed paths, they were both working as public relations consultants for a clothing business that was a customer of Stacey’s firm. This is how they got to know one another. Henry needed assistance finding a sport coat, so he asked Stacey for it, and the rest, as they say, is history.

“She was standing in front of me, and she had red hair, and she was wearing purple parachute pants, and without her even saying a word, I thought, ‘Woah, beautiful woman standing in front of me.'” Henry spoke about the time they had first met. I went to the store the next week, and she was still working there when I got there. And in that time span, I was able to gauge her physical prowess.”
When Stacey saw Henry a week later at the same shop purchasing his coat, he had asked her out on a date, but she was on the verge of turning him down. Naturally, she came around to the idea in the end, and before they knew it, the two of them were dating.
In 1978, while Stacey and Henry were thinking about getting married, Stacey and her son, who was then four years old, moved in with Henry.
The pair had to contend with Henry’s rising popularity after being married in the same Manhattan synagogue where Winkler had his bar mitzvah. The ceremony took place in Manhattan. Stacey found himself in the uncomfortable position of having to cope with the growing amount of attention from females on a regular basis.
Stacey said that their spouse continued to have interactions with other women despite the fact that the pair was married. She remarked that all she needed to do was learn how to cope with it, understanding that such attention was a good indicator for his profession. She was aware that such attention was a positive sign.
“People would rush up to Henry and literally walk over my feet,” she recalled. “It was very uncomfortable.” At one point, I said to someone, “You have just completely ruined my stockings.” The lady said, “But Fonzie is my favorite!”
In light of the problems that lay ahead, the pair did not place a significant amount of importance on the support of female followers.
Henry and Stacey had their first child, a girl named Zoey, in 1980, and their second child, a boy named Max, in 1983. The couple raised their children while also pursuing their jobs for many years.
Max Daniel Winkler made the decision to follow in his father’s footsteps in Hollywood and is currently working as a writer, director, and producer on programs such as “New Girl” and “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” amongst others.

However, by the late 1990s, the family’s financial situation had already started to worsen. After receiving the news that she had breast cancer, Stacey was confronted with a fresh obstacle.
Stacey bounced back from her sickness in a short amount of time. This continued for a time, up until 2007, when her cancer made a comeback. At this moment, she had a double mastectomy, and ever since then, she has been cancer-free.
For the sake of his devoted wife, Henry has been highly active in efforts to raise awareness about breast cancer. Winkler was given the opportunity to deliver a speech at the 13th annual “In the Pink of Health” Luncheon, which was just one of the many events that were organized by the organization to raise money for breast cancer patients and the families of those who passed away from the disease.
Before Stacey was diagnosed with cancer, Henry had already begun to help others who were battling the disease. In 1976, he even made an appearance at an all-star basketball game that was held to benefit the American Cancer Society.
Because they respect and support one another, Henry and his wife have been able to enjoy a long and happy marriage together. Despite the fact that they assert that there is more than one cause for their marital success, they do not conceal the fact that they love one another.
On the James Corden Show, Corden presented Henry with a snapshot that he had taken on the day of his and Stacey’s wedding. Winkler’s comment was that Stacey is even more beautiful now than she was on the day of their wedding.
Henry is not the only one who has acknowledged their feelings for one another in public. By posting on social media and taking images, she shows her support for her husband, who has a very active career, on a regular basis.
The pair has been candid about working together to tackle the challenges that life brings them as a relationship, which is admirable considering that they have been married for 44 years.

“There is going to be some work involved.”According to what Stacey said in an interview with People, “There are bumps in the road, and you get a little off kilter, but if you have the ability and the stick-to-itiveness based on love, your friendship and your relationship only gets better.”
Both Winkler and his wife are delighted to be grandparents at this point in their lives. Because Winkler’s grandparents were all sent to concentration camps during the Holocaust, he was deprived of the opportunity to know any of them; as a result, he values the time he spends with his grandkids very highly.
He said to the interviewer that one of his grandkids had recognized him from the television. “My wife and I babysat our four-year-old grandson, who is permitted to watch one show before going to bed,” he stated. “Before going to bed, he is allowed to watch one show.” His digital video recorder is set to capture episodes of Happy Days. As he turned to face me, he greeted me by saying, “That’s you.” Your hair was quite peculiar looking. You had a more trim figure back then.”
He said that his grandkids were too little to know that he was a renowned actor, and that to them, he was just their doting grandpa, whom they called “Papa.” This, he stated, was plenty for him.
The two of them, as individuals and as a couple, should serve as a source of motivation for the rest of us due to the fact that they are realistic, courageous, and deeply in love with one another.
