Faith Hill and Tim McGraw have been happily married for 27 years and are celebrating their anniversary.
On Friday, McGraw expressed his gratitude to Hill for all of the wonderful years that they have spent together by posting a message on Instagram.
McGraw, who is 56 years old, began his post by displaying the very first photograph that he and Hill, who is 55 years old, ever shot together. In the photograph, the vocalist of “This Kiss” can be seen with her hair piled high on top of her head, while McGraw can be seen grinning from behind his cowboy hat. The musician known for the song “Don’t Take the Girl” added a second, more contemporary black-and-white photograph to demonstrate how far they had gone in the years since the first photo was taken.
“This is the very first picture ever taken of us, the very first time we ever met back in spring of 1994,” McGraw captioned his Facebook post. “This was backstage of the ‘New Faces’ show at the Country Radio Seminar……I fell for you in an instant!”
He went on to say, “Today is our 27th wedding anniversary, and I fall in love with you every day, every time you walk into the room, and every time I see you in the smiles of our three beautiful daughters.” I can’t seem to stop falling, and I probably never will. I wish you, my darling, a happy anniversary! @faithhill. ”

In 1994, McGraw and Hill first crossed paths during a showcase for up-and-coming country music talent held at Nashville’s Country Radio Seminar. The singer best known for his hit “Highway Don’t Care” was romantically involved with Kristine Donahue at the time, while Hill was engaged to Scott Hendricks.
Soon after each of them had terminated their relationships with their separate spouses, the two of them began dating soon afterwards. After working together on McGraw and Hill’s Spontaneous Combustion tour, which Hill opened, the couple was married on October 6, 1996. Hill was the opening act for that tour.
McGraw told PEOPLE in 1996 that they “were young and silly and goo-goo-eyed in love” when they first fell for each other when they were on tour together in 1996. “We were young and silly and goo-goo-eyed in love,” McGraw said.
The artists have celebrated many joyous occasions together in the years since they said “I do,” including the upbringing of their three children, Gracie (now 26), Maggie (now 24), and Audrey (now 21).
It is obvious that becoming parents is McGraw and Hill’s finest achievement, despite the fact that they have accomplished a lot in their professions together.
“It’s inspiring to me to watch them go out on their own and do the things they do,” McGraw told PEOPLE in 2021 of his daughters. “It’s inspiring to watch them go out and do the things they do.” “We’ve done our best to instill in our three daughters the values of self-reliance, independence, and confidence. And the thing that makes me the happiest is the fact that our children are so normal and so grounded, and that they respect both themselves and other people to such a high degree. It gives me the impression that we have done a very excellent job, particularly Mom, and I appreciate it.

In October of 2018, to commemorate the couple’s 26th wedding anniversary, McGraw posted a slideshow video on Instagram that included images and video footage with Hill spanning their entire relationship. The caption of the post included a kind message that McGraw had written to his wife.
With the legendary country singers’ duet “I Need You” from McGraw’s Let It Go album serving as the video’s accompaniment, the artist, who is now 55 years old, commented beside the video, “Wow, 26 years! Wishing my sweetheart a happy anniversary! I love you so much, sweetie @faithhill”
A number of the couple’s well-known pals sent words of congratulations for them below the post, which was located in the comments area. Rita Wilson, who appears opposite McGraw and Hill, 55, in 1883, wished the couple a happy anniversary with the message “Happy Anniversary, Lovebirds!!!!”
