Robert Downey Jr. and his wife, Susan Downey, are showing no signs of slowing down their passionate relationship. In honor of the couple’s wedding anniversary on Sunday, the Iron Man actor posted a celebratory photo on Instagram.
“18 years, love still in bloom!!,” the actor, who is 58 years old, said in the post.
The first image is from Robert and Susan’s wedding ceremony; in it, he tenderly lays his face on his bride’s as she holds a bouquet of flowers. The second picture is from Robert and Susan’s honeymoon. The following photograph shows the delighted couple recreating the scene, with Susan this time clutching a bouquet of sunflowers.
“Robert, these are the most incredible photos ever!” I adore both of you!!!! Jeremy Renner, another member of the Marvel cast, added a remark.
Robert and Susan first crossed paths in 2003, while he was working on the production of Gothika that she was producing. Following an engagement announcement made two months later, the couple eventually tied the knot in a Jewish wedding ceremony two years after their first meeting.
They are the proud parents of Exton, who is 11, and Avri, who is 8 years old. The actor who played Oppenheimer is also the parent of son Indio, who is 29 years old, whom he shares with his ex-wife Deborah Falconer.
During the month of February, Robert published a collection of humorous photographs that included both him and Susan, his business partner at the Team Downey production firm.
He captioned the photographs with the phrase, “To she who lovingly tolerates my many shenanigans,” and “I pledge my undying love…”
