The Shep’s Place Elderly Dog Sanctuary helps senior dogs who have been abandoned or abandoned by their previous owners find new, loving homes. They have the opportunity to spend the rest of their lives here, pampered and in the company of those who love them.
Shep, a beagle and basset hound mix who was 10 years old when she was saved by the creator of the refuge, Russell Clothier, after being abandoned to her destiny, was the inspiration for the name of the sanctuary.
According to Russell, Shep enjoys the time she spends at the sanctuary because it provides her with a large amount of room, a comfy couch, and the ability to socialize with other dogs.

After helping at a number of different shelters and seeing the adoption process for older animals, Russell came up with the concept for this puppy haven.
Because most of the older dogs are in shelters because their people have abandoned them, this kind of guy purchased them home so that they could live out their last years in luxury. This is particularly important given that most of the older canines are in shelters.
Despite the fact that these people have provided these dogs with the finest years of their lives, a lot of them are not willing to pay for their care when they reach their senior years.
You spent the first eight to ten years of your life living in a home, but it has since been demolished. To be able to offer them that joy once again and to make their years unforgettable brings a smile to each and every one of our faces.
The home has a variety of amenities, including cozy and warm cages, a one-of-a-kind shower designed just for dogs, and a large patio where the pups are free to run about and play.

The pups arrived at Shep’s Place Sanctuary on April 6, 2019, and are doing well adjusting to living with the sanctuary’s other animals, particularly the older ones.
