A young boy stepped onto the stage, clutching his mother’s hand as though it were his lifeline, just as the lights dimmed. And when they began to sing together, even Simon Cowell—famous for being the toughest critic—leaned forward, eyes wide and jaw slightly dropped in disbelief.

Jamie, just 15, had originally planned to audition for Britain’s Got Talent alone. But a few days before, he realized he couldn’t go through with it. Instead of withdrawing, he turned to his mother, Mel, for support. Mel, who sings regularly in nursing homes, agreed without hesitation. The decision proved magical.
